Chicory - Cichorium intybus
Popularly recognized as Kasni, the Cichorium intybus is among one of the six species of Cichorium. This bushy perennial herb with blue flower head has round and condensed stems. This plant is cultivated for its roots and edible leaves. Its leaves are very bitter to taste. Native to Europe, northernmost Africa and West and Central Asia, the Chicory is predominantly used as a forage crop.
